Independent infrastructure work

Hi, I'm Kevin.

I build calm,
operable infrastructure.

A hands-on systems professional moving toward SRE, DevOps, and platform engineering—using real homelab infrastructure to practice automation, reliability, and secure operations.

Selected work

Real projects, deliberately scoped.
Nothing inflated for a portfolio.

01

Homelab Infrastructure · Raspberry Pi k3s

A four-node Kubernetes cluster, built from the operating system up.

Provisioned with Ansible and hardened for secure operation. The platform runs Vikunja and PostgreSQL with encrypted secrets, persistent storage, OIDC, health probes, resource limits, and ingress-based routing.

Self-hosted platform · Oracle Cloud + on-premises

One operational view across a multi-server Docker platform.

A four-server environment managed through Portainer: a controller on Firebolt and agents on Phoenix, Norbert, and Dobby. Services use Traefik routing, Authentik SSO, persistent workloads, health checks, and GPU-assisted media processing.

Operating principles

Infrastructure should be understandable on a bad day.

Make it repeatable. Version infrastructure, automate the boring parts, and document the decisions.

Design for recovery. Protect access, separate secrets from source, use health checks, and keep a path back.

Learn in public, safely. Share useful outcomes and decisions—without exposing a live environment or its sensitive topology.
